Terms of Service

AwkLess is an automated invoice reminder tool. You add an invoice, we send polite follow-up emails to your client on your behalf, on a schedule you control.

That's it. We are not a payment processor, a legal service, or a debt collection agency. We send emails.

• You must be 18 or older to use AwkLess.
• If we discover an account was created by someone under 18, we will terminate it immediately and delete all associated data.
• You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure.
• One person per account — AwkLess is a single-user tool. Sharing accounts is not permitted.
• You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to send reminder emails to the clients you add. Do not add clients without a legitimate unpaid invoice relationship.

You can:

• Use AwkLess to follow up on legitimate unpaid invoices.
• Upload invoice PDFs or enter invoice details manually.
• Activate, cancel, and manage reminder sequences.
• Cancel your subscription at any time.

You cannot:

• Use AwkLess to send spam or harass anyone.
• Use AwkLess to follow up on invoices that are not legitimate (e.g. fraudulent invoices).
• Attempt to access other users' accounts or data.
• Reverse engineer, copy, or resell AwkLess.
• Use automated scripts to abuse the service.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms without notice.

Free plan:

• Up to 3 active invoices at no cost.
• No credit card required.
• Full access to all core features.

Pro plan ($12/month):

• Unlimited active invoices.
• Billed monthly via Stripe.
• Cancel anytime — no lock-in, no cancellation fee.
• Your Pro access continues until the end of the billing period after you cancel.

Refunds:

• We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods.
• If you believe you were charged in error, contact us at hello@getawkless.com within 7 days and we will review it fairly.

We are responsible for:

• Sending your reminder emails reliably.
• Keeping your data secure.
• Maintaining the service with reasonable uptime.
• Fixing bugs and responding to issues promptly.

We are not responsible for:

• Whether your client pays after receiving reminders.
• How your client reacts to reminder emails.
• Any damage to a client relationship that may result from automated reminders — you control when to activate and when to cancel.
• Delays caused by email delivery providers (Resend).
• Data loss caused by events outside our control (natural disasters, provider outages, etc.).

AwkLess is provided “as is”. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free. Our liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months before any claim.

Nothing in these terms affects any statutory rights you may have under applicable consumer protection law in your country of residence.

You own your data. We do not claim any rights to your invoices, client information, or business data.

By using AwkLess, you give us permission to:

• Store your data to run the service.
• Send emails to your clients on your behalf.
• Use anonymised, aggregated data (e.g. 'X reminders sent this month') to improve the product.

You can delete your account at any time from Settings. This immediately cancels your subscription and permanently deletes your data.

We may suspend or terminate your account if:

• You violate these terms.
• Your subscription payment fails and is not resolved within 7 days.
• We have reason to believe your account is being used for abuse or illegal activity.

If we terminate your account for reasons other than a violation, we will provide a pro-rata refund.

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will email you at least 14 days before they take effect. Continuing to use AwkLess after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.

These terms are governed by the laws of France. Any disputes that cannot be resolved informally will be brought exclusively before the courts of Paris, France.

If any part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
